Italy will test a lot of teams - look fwd to v physical mathces
Scotland are on the up - scottish club rugby has had a good season, they will have confidence and murrayfield will be a tough place to beat them
France are hit and miss - not a great club season but can turn it on at any stage. they tend not to travel too well.
England low in confidence with something to prove. They will score lots of penalties if wilkinson stays fit but upfront are very weak.
Ireland who knows? loads of potential but misfiring. Lineout will do well with a Munster front 5. Expect Darcy to return to centre at some stage on sat (let's hope it's not too late) which could spark a backline revival. If that happens we will be heading to Wales for the decider in march.

Wales- Favourties to finish on top.Very expeireinced and very well drilled Welsh team. The ones to beat this season yet again.
Ireland- Has the petential to go all the way this season. But wrong decisions and easy turned over ball could lose them their chance of winning the 6 nations.
France- To Inconsistent to be called favourites. They can play excellent rugby, then the next day just not show up.
Italy- Will show 100% heart throughout the competition. Will show a tough battle to any of the 5. All depends on how they do in their first match in Twickenham tomorrow.
England-To much disbeleif within the young squad. Could show some bite but thats all we can expect. Huge candidates to finish in the bottom 3.
Scotland- Very likely to receive the wooden spoon. To much of a kicking game and their attack is weak compared to the other contenders. Their game is played to slow and are to predictable. Could bounce back next season but will need to be under a new coach ie Andy Robinson.

There is no loneliness greater than the loneliness of a failure. The failure is a stranger in his own house.

Haven't felt like that after a game in ages! Great to see the backs playing well.

I say we'll just about beat scotland, but wales and england will be the hard matches, mainly against wales...

"What a day! The Mancs got beaten, we won the grand slam and I'm world champion what more could you want?" Bernard Dunne 21.03.09

My predictions were pretty spot on bar England's try scoring revival!
