Yeah diffinately stick with protein, you need a fast acting protein straight after training, and thats where your shake comes in...

I use to use Truemass, but i sorted my diet out and i dont need a gainer anymore, even tho they are more conveniant...

Is whey or casein better for after training? Its just that casein is slow digesting and i thought that would probably be more effective?

your muscles are very repsonsive to nutrients for about half an hour after you finish training - its called the anabolic window. its vital to get protein into you as quick as possible, so whey is obviously more suited to post workout

save caesin for before bed, to last while you sleep. or else just add milk to whey instead of water to slow the digestion rate down

such a load of shit it pisses me off so much. maybe bring chicken or steak in pieces in a shaker (thats what i do) in your gym bag and scoff it down when your finished gym?or else just have a shake the minute you get home OR bring it into the toilets and quickly mix and drink there

Is there much of a difference if you dont drink your protein shake straight after its mixed,I know it says on most tubs to drink immediately but most of the time Id mix it up throw it in work back or even leave it in the car until after the gym.

I'm pretty sure that the protein begins to denature once it's added to liquid so you need to drink it asap. The pre-made protein shakes sold in shops are made using a special formula and stored in refrigerators to prevent denaturing...

I think your best bet is bring in a pre-cooked chicken breast and just munch it down after training, they can't really do anything for that! The Protein Shake ban etc. is coupled with the fear bout creatine etc. so I'd imagine you would be ok for quickly scoffing a chicken breast??

Nothing wrong with eating whole food after a workout. That's what Jay Cutler does!
