Hi I'm new to this forum just wondering if anyone can help me out.
I've read a lot online but nothing I've read is specific to my problem.
I'm 17 and very much underweight, I'm also fairly short. I have a really fast metabolism - I can eat so much crap and never notice a difference in my weight. My question is what is the best way for me to put on weight? I've read things about protein shakes, eating alot and hormone supplements. I find it almost impossible to eat alot, I generally find it difficult to eat a normal amount each day. Also I find that in general I think I do have a low testosterone level. Would it be a bad idea for me at my age to take hormone supplements?
What would people suggest as the best way to put on weight? Besides eating a lot as I've tried it so many times, I've made out diets and truly tried my best to stick by them but I end up feeling sick.
Oh by the way I don't get much excercise - ie: I don't play any sports, the most active thing I do is walk. Could this be a cause?
Thanks for any help.
Carl

The only way forward is to take up bodybuilding...I see no other option for you in this case.
No need for hormone supplements as bodybuilding will ramp up your levels and appetite very quickly.
The diets you make up are probably over kill.
Eat in accordance to how you fell with protein/carbs and fat in each meal.

When insulin levels are elevated in the body, it is physiologically impossible to burn muscle for energy (on a cell to cell basis). When insulin is present in the bloodstream it is also impossible oxidize fatty acids from adipocytes. |

How many lbs, is 'very underweight'
You're probably thinking you eat a lot...but you're really not if you add it all up
Failing that have a Dr check your TSH levels, metabolic profile
