I think you'll find it's been 365 days of glory, the first ever professional team to go a full calendar year without losing!

Heard Reports of Pierre Spies being accused of steroid abuse.Dont know if a full investigation has begun but...If it's true i feel many of the "boks" may be in trouble. Rugby will never be accepted in the Olympics if it is.

So True CK......Even when i was at SCT level which was 5/6 years ago now there was a little crew of roid heads in my school.Poppin Dbol caps like multivits with no research whatsover.I'd say it's definitley increased since then.Rugby has become alot more about size and power though so it's only natural that its going to creep into the amatuer side of things.Sad to see in my opinion. But hey..... each to their own and all that i suppose.

It is a huge shame!! Steroids ruin every sport they touch...

Cycling is ruined

Swimming is tainted

Athletics is only barely hangin on and has been disgraced on numerous occasions

And imo bodybuilding isn't a sport at all anymore as it more than any other is totally wrecked with drug use!

It would be such a shame if drug use taints rugby too as it is a great sport to watch and be a fan off at the top level.

its not wrecked with drug use...who wants to see professionals posing if the spectators on juice can be bigger than them.

the whole point people think the ifbb is interesting is that the competitors are a bunch of awesome human drug experiments.

When insulin levels are elevated in the body, it is physiologically impossible to burn muscle for energy (on a cell to cell basis). When insulin is present in the bloodstream it is also impossible oxidize fatty acids from adipocytes.

I really couldn't disagree with u more!!!

If that was the case and people enjoy watching bodybuilding for the drugs and the freaks then wouldn't they infact watch the sport!!

Mr ireland is an annual event and sells only 600 - 2000 tickets the majority of which are bought by friends and family of competitors.

The events are rarely televised and if they were i don't believe the general public would watch!!

It is the drugs and ridiculous bodies of the professional men and women which does not have a universal appeal! It has become a freak show not a sport!!

I couldnt disagree moar!

I think bodybuilding is kept off tv because it is an obscene disgrace!

And correction it was never a sport to begin with, it is a beauty pagent for the fitness girls and a freak pageant for the bodybuilders.

The events are never televised.

You were right to an extent about the family and friends part, but the family and friends of the competitors are massive drug dealers.

The mr irealnd actually reminded me of the witches AGM in that Roald Dahl book where all the underground monsters come out from the shadows to congregate with their ilk.

I'd have to agree with ck. It would be great if there were drug tested bodybuilding comps in Ireland.

I'm competing in the Irish drug free powerlifting nationals this year. If the IDFPA test 10% of their competitors I don't understand why a bodybuilding association cannot implement a similar policy?
