im 22 about 5 10'/11' and about 13-13.5 stone

have been in the gym the last few months and have put on some muscle
i used bsn true mass and size on creatine and i noticed both were very good

have tasted a few shakes and i find bsn is the best

im goin to order some bsn true mass and syntha 6 one for weight gain and one for protein how does everyone find these 2 together?

i go gym 4/5 times a week with a friend who i will also be placing order for bsn

i do a different muscle group a day
chest/bi-ceps abs
back/legs abs
triceps/shoulder abs
neck maybe small bit of any of the above
also play astro on a thursday

has anyone a better routine?

want to get upto about 14stone of muscle and willing to work hard

only final thing is im a diabetic who injects 4 times a day so can be alot harder as ive to watch what i eat i can adjust my insulin to what i am eating
will creatine affect my insulin????

any help appreciated

thanks

hey man welcome to the forum,

if u talk to anyone who is knowledgable they will tell u to bulk up u need to eat eat eat! the best weightgainer is whole food and lots of it!u need to consume around 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight to gain muscle,

there is some new weightgainers like gaspari's real mass which is nicer then true mass and also more protein and calories per shake,

personalli wouldnt do back and legs on the same day as there very large muscle groups and would be better to split them up, also the guys on the forum will tell u about hit which would be good to get your strength up.

im also on a bulk and ive gained 3 kilos in around 16 days and my routine is much more orientated about big compound lifts, these lifts hit all the muscle groups

day1) deadlifts, military press, pull ups
day2) squats, bench, dips
day3) clean and press, bb rows and leg press

ive seen a huge increase in strength doin this split also to gain size i find high weight low reps is best

eg. rows - set one 60kg for 9 reps, set two 80 kg for 6 reps, set three 90kg for 4 reps, set four 100kgs for 2 reps

i hope some of that helped, there will be alot more knowledgeable info on the way!

thanks for the reply man much apreciated

thats true about back and legs they are both big muscle groups so maybe i should spit them into different days by themselves??

whats the gaspari weight gainer like i love the taste of bsn vanilla its the best tasting in my opinion ive had so far?

thats some amount of weight gained in such short time what do you take?

would it be recommended to take bsn true mass weight gainer and syntha 6 protein at the same time and was also thinking of getting cr2 creatine tablets??

anyone else help me out?

thanks

its called real mass, its beautiful, the nicest supplement ive ever had after supreme bars!!!its tastes like a normal milkshake and i hear the other two flavours were lovely too.

thanks man, optimum nutrition 100% whey, real mass and was on cr2 for 4 days last week but stopped yesterday because it didnt agree with me, its great stuff tho especially for recovery!

mite try that real mass do they sell it on here online im gona place an order 2moro but i dont want to get something if doesnt taste anyway near true mass as il just put it in the bin ha

my mate is nearly in the gym everyday over a year is about the same height and build but he doesnt really look it always concentrating on biceps to show off which keep telling him is ridiculous i sprained my wrist about 5-6weeks agao havent been able to lift alot over that period and could go back no and still lift alot heavier than him so i know what he's doing is wrong and hes not sticking to a routine

what would your routine for the week be??

Yea they sell it here, but like look up reviews online and also see myofusion protein reviews on the un website, its the protein version of real mass and everyone loves the taste!

well i think everybody has there own goals and aims and he he wants good arms but yet couldnt squat jackshit thats his own choice, personally i just want power and strenght especially in back legs and shoulders!

monday - deadlifts (5sets), seated military press (5sets), pull ups(6 sets)
tuesday - squats (6 sets), bench (5sets), dips (5sets)
wednesday - clean and press (5sets), bb rows (5sets), leg press (6sets)
thursday - deadlifts (5sets), seated military press (5sets), pull ups(6 sets)
friday - squats (6 sets), bench (5sets), dips (5sets)
saturday - clean and press (5sets), bb rows (5sets), leg press (6sets)
sunday - off or if i take saturday off ill do saturdays workout on sunday

15 minutes of core 7 days a week

workouts without the core are around 40 or 50 minutes

Great advice from baraz.

Hogan if you're only training a couple of months and still getting familiar with different exercises, weights and your body, just be careful jumping into a routine like the above. Take your time getting used to those exercises and always perform a warm up set.

Weight gain seems to be a big priority for you, but it's the muscle gain you're after. Muscle gain is generally a slow process, but you can get growth spurts where you gain a nice bit5 of muscle over a short period too. If you can consume too many calories you will gain body fat, if you consume too little you will lose weight, the trick is get no more then 500 extra calories a day above your baseline amount.

Post up your diet and we can give you pointers. Diet is key to building the body you want.
